Posted on January 3, 2016, updated April 2, 2020 Posted on September 4, 2014, updated January 3, 2016 Am thrilled -just received my order of 7 peonies. Prior to ordering, Gintas was prompt and courteous with answers to my questions. Received order in 11 days-very reasonable timeframe. As other reviewers comment, roots are smaller than those sent by pricier US peony farms, but are decently-sized, and most have at least 2 eyes. Will update my comments when - hopefully - most/all bloom!

On January 3rd, 2016, m2luvpeonies changed the rating from positive to negative and added the following: 2015 Update, this is now January 2016: No signs of life from any root! Have just emailed the company to ask for credit/replacement for 2016. Will update this comment again if I receive a positive reply; otherwise, you may not receive viable roots if you order from this company - Waste of $ and effort; note the negative comments on THIS site.
On April 2nd, 2020, m2luvpeonies changed the rating from negative to positive and added the following: Update Mar 2020: Now, positive results! - I re-ordered another set (10) in 2017, simply re-potted on arrival, and "nursed" them until fall 2019, whereon I planted them in desired spots in my yard. The winter of '19 was mild, vs. brutal '17 and '18. It's now end of March '20, and and nearly all have sprouted - very pleased! In my reorder in '17, I asked for 3 replacements for the first set that failed (+ paid for additional plants); Gintas was very pleasant to comply. So, my conclusion: Happy to have given this firm a 2nd chance (+ low prices!), as this last set has been mostly successful (also, I've improved as a peony gardener). I may place another order. If you wish to take a chance, and have time & effort to spare, then give this firm a whirl...

My first purchase was a year ago. The peonies arrived smaller than expected and a couple were in very poor shape. Nevertheless most grew.. only lost 2 out of 20. I ordered again recently. This time 20 tree peonies... not cheap. All 20 arrived in horrible condition covered in mold and they were all smaller than small.. the entire lot could fit in 2 solo cups... i emailed to express disappointment... they said... stick them in the ground they will grow... sorry you are not happy... well... never again. Terrible experience.

Peony roots are very small. I ordered 16 two years ago, but none of them has bloomed yet. I doubt they will bloom in the next year. Then I will need to wait 4 or 5 years before blooming. By the way, about 2 out of 16 didn't come out.

I ordered ten peonies from this company. I liked that I was able to order late in the season and still have a good selection. They take PayPal and the prices are line with what you receive. I received several emails about the status of my order and a tracking number when they were shipped. All arrived in good condition within 16 days of shipping. They were small in comparison to what other dedicated peony nurseries here in the USA send...about the size of a peony one would buy from a mass retailer in a plastic bag. Unlike those peonies, these were fresh, and firm with large eyes. I feel sure that they will grow nicely. I am delighted to have varieties that are not found here in the USA. I would not hesitate to order again, and recommend this company to my gardening friends.

I ordered two tree peonies in July, 2013. I emailed in August to get a shipment date and got no reply (though they said they replied). I emailed again in September to get a shipment date. At that time, I was informed that the plants had shipped the first week of August, and that no one claimed the shipment, and it had been shipped back to Lithuania. I was told that I could pay $25 more for shipping and get the same plants (but at that point they will have been out of the ground for 2 months and likely dead) or I could reorder and repay. Now, it is October 5, and they have my money and my plants and I have no recourse. Order from an American company or nursery for satisfactory service.

What a great nursery for Peonies. Great prices for healthy 3-5 eye Peonies (some of mine were 6-7 eye). Many supreme Russian varieties as well as popular American types. Will definitely make this my first choice for Peonies. Thanks for the great experience, Gintas! Keep up the good work!

Plants came without problems from Lithuania to Germany 4 years ago. Divisions are small, as always if you buy from companies in the East of Europe. They want to make you a good shipping prize and it really makes no difference after 2 years. They grew well, were true to name and a great experience and one of the very few good sources for soviet times breedings.

I ordered from this company a few years back and got nice plants. They have now all bloomed all were true to the cultivar ordered. I think I ordered about 8 plants. I am very pleased with my peonies from them. Leon

I received 2 tree peonies from Peony Nursery. They were small but in excellent shape, beautifully healthy. The website is great and their prices are very reasonable--good communication too. I really am very pleased.

Last year I ordered 9 peonies from this company -- a little nervous about its distant location but willing to take a risk, as the prices were so great (6 to 8 bucks a peony). I have to say their shipping was fast and efficient, but the roots were much less developed than any of the others I've received and this year the plants, though thriving, are distinctly smaller in comparison, too.

Have a nice selection of Paeonia lactiflora and officinalis cultivars. Reasonable prices, appears to have experience exporting plants.
