We go to Cochato Nursery as often as we can. Not just to see their beautiful display garden, but to enjoy and purchace their great variety of hostas, unusual plants and trees etc. We have been customers for about 10 years and have turned our boring city yard into a garden oasis thanks to Chuck and Sue at Cochato Nursery. Their SUPER display garden is an inspiration to anyone who wants to see what their yard/plants could look like with help from Cochato Nursery and a little work. The garden and plant choices are always changing with the seasons, giving you a good idea what your yard could look like, before you spend any $. Hope to see you there!!!

I had a very good experience at Cochato. The selection of hostas itself is worth the trip, but they have a large selection of other plants as well. They have a beautiful garden full of mature specimens of the many hostas they sell, and nice examples of how to pair different perennials and ferns with hostas. Don't be shy about asking for something you don't see. They have an encyclopedic knowledge of plants in general, and one of the owners was kind enough to sell me a rare Arisaema seedling at discount when he could have sold it for much more when it was mature. I also asked about Clematis virginiana since I haven't been seeing it in local nurseries, and he even went into one of the fields surrounding the property to see if there was anything left of a planting of it he had done years ago! A really good experience.

Cochato Nursery is a gardener's shopping dream!!!!! Cochato has items that you may not find in many other nurseries. They stock Perennials, Aquatic Plants, Butterfly Gardens, Grasses (Ornamental), Hostas (over 300 varieties), Native Plants, Shrubs, Vines, Wildflowers My husband and I visit Cochato each and every weekend of the spring/summer- every time we go we purchase at least one item- every item has been a performer for us. The prices at the Nursery are very reasonable and the experience is delightful. The owners have perfected the art of water gardening- your visit to Cochato is worth looking at thier exquist water garden display- BEAUTIFUL and full of ideas for your own gareden. The owners are also very knowladgable and helpful. They are as delightful as thier inventory. Make a visit to Cochato- your first visit will not be your last!!!!!!
