Ordered a pound of red wigglers in Jan of '12, they let me know when they were shipping and arrived when expected. They were well packaged, with maybe 1 dead worm and 1 not so hot, with the rest of them being healthy, active, and FAT!!! Compared to the red wigglers I got on ebay, the worms from Acme Worm Farm were Huge! Being my first worm bin Ever, they adapted perfectly, and made a quick meal of the leftover baby food veggies I let stew for half a week. None of the worms worm trying to escape and all was well. Then I bought a pound of red wigglers on ebay and the worms were Super TINY in comparison to Acme's, and probably 1/5th of the worms from Ebay don't seem to like something about the bin as they were crawling up the sides, to the top, with a few even escaping. I'm not sure if I'm going to just let natural selection take place, or try to force the small Ebay wigglers to stay put... Regardless, Acme's wigglers were well worth it, and they even had some good instructions and tips. Thanks!

I ordered some coir back in March. I agree with other comments that the service and delivery was great ... however the quality of the coir, at least in my opinion, is far inferior to the Coco-Tek coir. The first bale I tried to hydrate never did really absorb and wick the water like it should. I thought perhaps it was due to the cooler temps (high 50's and low 60's). I contacted the company and did receive a timely reply and they acknowledged that from time to time they had seen this. Dorothy asked me to let her know the results of the next bale I worked with. Once the temps were consistently higher I did try another bale with the same results as the first. As requested I sent Dorothy a note advising that the 2nd bale was just like the first. No response! I waited a little over a week and resent the note just in the unlikely event the first email was not received. It has now been almost 4 weeks since my first email and still no reply. They may have other products that are excellent but I certainly wouldn't recommend the coir to anyone. I think the very least they could have acknowledged my second note even if they chose not to make it right. I won't be buying anything else from this company in the future. I am now working with the last bale I purchased and all 4 bales have been the same.

Couldn't have been better. They were quickly responsive (via email) to my order, let me know when to expect delivery (2-3 days), and gave me a suggestion on prep. Plenty of healthy worms. Reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

I placed an order from Acme recently. The turnaround time was quick and notification of receipt of order and shipping was sent via e-mail. The worms arrived in good condition and look healthy...more than healthy, they were nice and plump!!. Little extraneous bedding was included, so no mess. I highly recommend them as a great source of redworms. Also, the price is right.
