I'll never order again. Everything was poorly thought out of during Covid. Sure there's a high demand , but if you only take orders as of 9am, what do you think is going to happen to your website? It crashes for weeks and weeks. I am a market gardener. The sizes or seed count of packets are extremely difficult to find, if at all. They sent me a pack with 8 seeds of brusselsprouts in it for 3$ as well as a few other packs with low seed count in it, when I contacted them , they were rude and unhelpful telling me had I wanted more it would have been 26$!! ( easily over twice and 3 times the price of anywhere else) When asked about another pack they said 100 seeds in it, I'm lucky if I got 25. That combined with putting my alarm on for well over 2 weeks to try getting my order though at exactly 9am... Seed packs are sealed, so once you opened, best paper clip it. I will NEVER give them business again ( and my order was 250$ -the only reason that I did was because it was already in my basket and I had made my other orders elsewhere already)

The Hamilton store is very attractive and stocks a wide selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. However, the hyacinth bulbs I purchased were infested with tiny flies and did not blossom. (A competitor's bulbs did blossom well.) The seeds I bought had a very low germination rate.

PROS: - Everything was sent on time, and I got everything I ordered. - Prices are fair and reasonable CONS: - Tomato Brandywine: in their catalog they say it has incomparable taste... I've had tomatoes with more flavor from the grocery store - They don't sell strictly OSC seeds; Not sure where some of the seed packets are from - Many of the packets don't have a "best before" date.

Posted on December 08, 2009, updated December 08, 2009 There are many seeds offered in their catalog that are not "theirs", therefore no guarantee for germination and no compensation if there is a problem. The Wave and Opera Supreme petunia seeds fall into that 3rd party category. Very disappointing to have such an expensive seed with poor germination and no resource for problems. Be aware that there are a number of different seeds that they offer that are not "their seeds". With the price of some of the seeds, it may be a waste of your money and a bit of a risk.

On December 8th, 2009, joannabanana changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: Opera Supreme was incorrect. It was Lavender Wave & Blue Wave. Since this was revisited thru the Watchdog, OSC is now going to replace the Wave seed packages. There were other seed that had poor germination, so I'm not 100% back to positive with the quality. It is awesome that they have decided to compensate now. In the spring, I had phoned them and with no resolution. Guess I may have called at a busy time. e-mail worked better.

I made a mail order purchase with them earlier in the spring and was very happy with their selection, prices, and quick service. Very high germination rates. Will certainly do business with them again.

Ordered twice from OSC this winter for seeds. Everything arrived as ordered; germination rates were good and I thought prices were competitive. Had some unusual items and they have a good catalog.

I e-mailed them for a store address as their magazine ad gives only as Post Office Box address. Their reply was quick and courteous.
