Ordered 4 rare plants I couldn't find anywhere else at any price, but the prices were very good, as if they were small common plants. Packing was good. Speed getting the order shipped out was excellent (1 day). Communication was the best. Plant quality was excellent. These were all bigger than I was expecting for 4" pots. I will definitely be back!!

A couple plants were good; the one I really wanted was "out of stock" despite my having pre-ordered it nearly six months earlier, which I consider inexcusable. If you had a crop failure or something, I get it. But "Out of stock"? No. You had 5+ months since I paid for the plant, to produce adequate stock. Another "plant" started dying on arrival and eventually proved to have no roots. It was a bare twig in dirt. So, batting maybe .500, based on the one order? But I won't try them again.

My second time ordering from them and once again I am very happy. Packing - Plants came nestled in a generous sized box that was filled with Styrofoam peanuts. Each plant was carefully packed and without damage. Plants - Healthy, well established and happy. Communication - previous order and this order they have always been very responsive and accommodating to my requests and questions. Thank you Grassy Knoll!

Very nice healthy plants package well and shipped quickly. Although I have never bought any Passion Flowers before, and so have nothing to compare them to, the Passion seemed small for the price (considering it is a fast growing vine). But would definately order from Grassy Knoll again.

Grassy Knoll Exotic Plants not only has a wonderful variety of passifloras (among other plants), it provides excellent customer service. Elizabeth was very helpful and prompt when responding to emails, and when one of my plants arrived in less than ideal condition and continued to decline, she sent another because as she put it: "I want you to have a healthy plant!" The plants are well packaged, and with the exception of the particular plant that has been replaced, they've all shown up in good condition and are doing well. I definitely recommend this company, and wouldn't hesitate to order from it again.

I was looking for a few Passionflower vines and stumpled across Grassy Knoll here on Dave's Garden. I was excited to see that it was located only 30 minutes away from me. I think I emailed back and forth with Elizabeth 20 times with tons of questions. She is very knowledged and answered every email faster than any business I have ever deald with. Plus she saved me from some purchases that would have not survived the winter here. Her greenhouse is amazing. You can see that she loves what she is doing. I would only get my Passionflower vines from her.

I just received my first order from Grassy Knoll. The passiflora plants sent were healthy and packaged perfect. I am also impressed by Elizabeth's great communication. If you are looking for a great variety of passifloras, including some more rare ones, she offers them for a very reasonable price. Sincerely, Vanessa

I have ordered twice in the past 5 years and each time the plants were packaged perfectly and were not only healthy but bloomed within a few days of receiving them! My orders took longer to ship than any other grower I've ordered from, but that is because Ms. Peters ships at the right time for the plants, which is fine with me. I just placed another order with Grassy Knoll yesterday, and I am confident that I will be completely satisfied with this order as well.

I ordered two species of Passiflora on a Saturday and had them the next Friday by Priority Mail. They were carefully prepared for mailing and arrived safe and sound. The plants seem clean and healthy. I would recommend this seller to friends.

I've ordered passion vines from this company several times and have been satisfied. I decided to order some (5) of her S. African varieties in addition to the passiflora this time. I won't be doing that again. 4 of the plants were small but ok but the Ceropegia crassifolia was in bad shape. I emailed Elizabeth about the plant and she replied that this plant was just coming out of dormancy and it was fine. I'm well aware of the growth habit of this plant and dormancy wasn't the issue. It appeared that new growth had begun but that it was dying when it arrived. There were several leaf scars and the new growth at the tip was drying out. I unpotted the plant to check the roots which appeared ok but the area of new growth was bad and shriveling more each day. I responded to her email with this info and I've still not heard back. I realize this is a busy time of year for her but have a feeling that she's brushing my complaint off and thinks that her initial reply should have sufficed. This isn't a negative review because her passion vines are fine but that is all I will purchase from her in the future.

On May 13th, 2009, karyn1 changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following: I am changing this rating to a positive because Elizabeth finally did contact me and offered to send a replacement even though I told her that I no longer had the questionable Ceropegia crassifolia. I don't feel it's necessary to wait for the replacement to change my review as I'm sure she will send it.

To put it simply: 8 days after I ordered I had a beautiful, healthy plant--in bud. Communication was great and I would not hesitate to recommend them--I have no complaints. Obviously Passionflowers are their great strength, but those interested in unique and unusual plants (including those whose beauty might be missed by some) should check out their website as well.

We received really horrible small passiflora as well as some yucky yucky proteas which died almost immediately after arrival ... she charges a great deal for her plants and we were both terrible underwhelmed

I recently ordered over a half-dozen items from Grassy Knoll. There was NO problem with communication or arrival. The plants were extremely healthy! I can tell you, I order a lot from online plant sources and these plants were good, if not better, than my favorite online gardens in Hawaii!!! My neighbors are very jealous of my gardens and now you know why! You can not get these quality plants from your local hardware or garden store. They also will share lots of information, just ask! Good Luck and Good gardening!!!!

This is a great place to shop on line!!! I have purchased numerous Passiflora's and have not been disapointed.. Elizabeth has returned every e~mail and I have spoke on the phone with her several time.. She has gone out of her way to accomidate my needs as far as deliveries were concerned and let me in on a couple of very new and exciting plants before they were even offered..This IS the first place I go to if I am in the market for a new Passi...I have an order on it's way and I can hardley wait! My friend and I drove the 20 miles from Portland Oregon to Grassy Knoll Exotic Plants to purchase a passionflower, that is to be the star (hopefully) of the fence on the north side of my house. It was the highlight of my Fourth of July!! Elizabeth has so many varieties of passionflower, and was So knowledgeable about their origins, specific needs, growth habits, and (most helpfully) pointing out those which would be hardy in our area and not too large. She even showed me how to do my own polination!! Spending an hour inside her greenhouse was such a treat, and she was able to coax a number of the flowers to open for our viewing. The plants we got were so healthy, and large! I appreciated Elizabeth's eagerness to get feedback from us about how the plants did in our yards. She really loves passionflowers and I think anyone buying from here can rest assured that the plants are of high quality, and the information you receive about them will be very accurate!!

This is the best online nursery I have found (not that I have found many :). My emails were returned promptly and Elizabeth seems like a friendly, helpful person. I changed my order twice after it was innitally sent, and she was perfectly fine with that. I ordered five passifloras and all came in excellent condition and one even bloomed a week after It came (pura vida red). Definately a great place to order from.

On July 16, I placed an order for four Passifloras and paid for them in advance using PayPal. Nine days later, July 25, Elizabeth sent me an email, acknowleding my order informing me that they were out of one of the Passifloras and would I choose a substitution. I immediately responded with an alternate choice. After not hearing anything or receiving anything in the mail, I sent Elizabeth an email on August 4. Elizabeth responded right away and said my package would probably be shipped on August 9 and would contain my original selection. It is now August 18, a little over one month after my initial purchase, and I have not received anything in the mail. I sent Elizabeth an email on August 13, August 14, and another on August 16, with no responses so far. I also called the contact number for Grassy Knolls Exotics and got an answering machine and left a message on August 17 and August 18. I am very disappointed that I have not received my order and that I have not received any communication from Elizabeth. A reputable company should either ship when they say they will ship or let you know of a delay so you can make a decision whether to cancel or not. When they say they will send your purchase and then do not, they create bad faith and cause the customer undue worry and anxiety. Bad faith will ultimately cause negative word of mouth and decreased sales. This is not the way to do business. If I receive my purchase in the next week, I will update this comment.

On August 19th, 2004, Clare_CA added the following: Elizabeth contacted me today by email and stated that she could not email me or return my calls or send out my purchase because of a family medical emergency that occurred last week. She also gave me the option of receiving a full refund or my package. I opted to have the purchase go through and have my package sent. Elizabeth emailed me again to tell me that it was mailed today. After I have received it, and if everything is shipped as promised, I will update this thread again and change my rating to neutral. Elizabeth's medical emergency last week does not address why my purchase was not sent in the three weeks prior to the emergency. And furthermore, any business that wants to stay in business communicates with their customers no matter what is happening in the owners' personal lives. Most businesses are willing to take your credit card information and charge you when your purchase is shipped. Not only will I never buy anything again from Grassy Knolls, but I will never buy from any business that takes their customer's money in advance of shipping out his/her purchase. There is simply no reason for that. Furthermore, if I choose to pay a seller via PayPal, I will use my credit card instead of my checking account, that way I can stop payment through my credit card company if the company fails to deliver as promised.
On August 21st, 2004, Clare_CA changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: I am changing my rating to neutral, as I said I would, because I received my order today from Elizabeth at Grassy Knoll. The Passifloras were well-packed and looked healthy. I will not order from this company again due to the hassle and aggravation that I experienced. Logee's has a wonderful selection of Passifloras and is reliable so I will stick to Logee's from now on.

Nothing but good things to say about my experience with Grassy Knoll. I received my plants in a timely manner. One of the plants I ordered was not available and Elizabeth offered me another choice. I ordered five plants and received all of them in excellent condition, with buds on some. Prices are very reasonable, and the selection is a good one. These plants were packaged with care, beautiful. Overall, I would highly recommend Grassy Knoll to anyone interested in purchasing passiflora.

I'm saying positive with a little bit of reservation. I was like the last poster in that I ordered and paid in January and asked for a spring delivery. At the time, the owner wrote back saying that she planned to ship in early April and that she will notify via email prior to shipment. I didn't get an email at the expected time, wrote back and learned that she's encountering a delay and would ship out two weeks later than anticipated. Three weeks later, I wrote asking about the shipping plan because I had to go out of town in early May and I was afraid to have it sent while I was gone. She got back to me and said she would send the next day. The plants arrived via priority mail two days after the day she promised to ship out, extremely well packaged and very healthy. The prices for the plants and shipping were extremely reasonable, especially in light of the healthy plants I received. The owner was very nice and very responsive to my emails throughout the process. I have the sense that GKEP is instituting a new system and is running into more difficulties than anticipated. This is unfortunate for people who are frustrated in the process, but given the very satisfactory results in my case, I think it will be a trustworthy company over the long haul.

I ordered some vines back in the first week of Feruary, paid in advance in order for them to hold my plants until it would be ready to ship when the weather would be warm enough. I recieved an e-mail from Elizabeth Peters telling me,she was holding my plants and would ship them out the first week of April, and would e-mail the day there were to go out. This has been over two months ago, never heard another word until tonite, stating she has sold out of plants and had gotten behind and hoped to have them available by mid May. If I had know earlier,I might have been able to order from another nursery,or at least had my money maybe to find some locally,at this point in time I have neither, and a short growing time.I would not order from them again, especially when they had over 2 months to notify me and didn't. So here is my caution to the wind, for Grassy Knoll Exotic plants!

One of the best online purchase I have ever made. Plants were healthy, well rooted, medium size or larger, prices are the lowest compared to other sites for some plants. Great packing job! On time shipping. I highly recommend Grassy Knoll if you are looking for exotic plants.
