I need to say first that I made two trips up to Serinity last falI and know that they are currently planning to move west between Stover and Coles Camp Mo. They will have several acres and it should be even better. I think Serinity is about the very finest hosta grower in this area.

On May 27th, 2006, ozarkian changed the rating from positive to neutral and added the following: 27 May 06 Serenrty does not andwer either the phone are E-mail. I cannot find ant evidence of a move up between Stover and cloes Camp Mo. therefore i must assume he is no longer in bussiness.
Editor's Note: Per a note from the owner of Serenity Hosta Haven, they are still in business, and have not moved.

ready for a road trip? if you live within a few hours drive of warrensburg, missouri, there is no better destination for hostaphiles than serenity perennial haven! we have been there several times and look forward to each trip with gleeful anticipation. betty and loren are gracious hosts who put up with all of our ooing and ahing with good humor. one hot day, loren helped my husband dig a HUGE Blue Umbrella hosta that took both of them to load into our truck. the display beds are a treat, and the sale beds are well laid out and maintained. with over 800 varieties of hosta to choose from, disappointment is impossible. give yourself a treat---go see this wonderful nursery!

Ever since Shady Oaks (MN) went out of business, I've been purchasing my hostas from Serenity Haven. Every order has included lush leaves and (bare) roots, very well-packaged in moist paper towels; and every plant has grown very well. If they ever run out of a selection I've wanted, they let me know and come through the following year--only when such varieties are really ready for shipping. They have a terrific selection of a huge variety of hostas--yes, I'm collecting now--very well-priced from the cheap varieties to the fancy hybrid/expensive varieties. Betty sends wonderful personal notes and usually includes a free hosta, if something I ordered wasn't available yet. I will keep ordering my hostas from them, knowing they'll grow in the humid heat of Kansas from neighboring Missouri.
