Briggs Nursery, Inc.

This is relating to the Briggs nursery in Vista, CA. I've bought about $300 worth of trees and flowering shrubs from this location about a year ago: a weeping willow (salix babylonica), a strawberry tree (arbutus marina), a butterfly tree (bush in tree-form), and a few butterfly bushes. Their demise started with the dreaded fungal disease called "Die Back" very rapidly, infecting the nearby trees as well. After much battle, fungicides, and trimming of the obviously infected parts, the only survivor is the willow tree with a pathetic stump sticking out of the ground and two lateral branches doing their best to stay alive. Never before and never since I've had any such issues with any plants or trees from other nurseries, whether shipped or picked up. Never getting anything from this location again as dieback definitely came from there. Scary and devastating experience.
