My favorite nursery in the St. Louis area. They have the largest selection and variety of perennials (and stock rotates through the year) of any nursery I have found. I visit them at least once a month and always find something new to add to my garden. They seem to always be first in stocking the new hybrid or new must have plant. The drive for me is about 80 miles round trip and always worth the effort.

This nursery boasts of an extremely friendly, helpdful, knowledgeable staff. They have a wide selection of shady and sun perennials, "steppable" groundcovers. This season they carry nearly all the new heucheras on the market. They have email and newspapers coupons that keep bringing their customers back, again and again. I also like their summer lectures series even though I have not been able to attend one yet. A nursery well worth your visit!

Sugar Creek Gardens is a hidden gem in the midst of metropolitan St Louis. They have a broad selection of common and uncommon perennials; much more diverse selection than mass merchandisers. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Maybe not for the marigold crowd. But for the rest of us, always an enjoyable visit.
