I wouldn't go as far as saying they are wonderful, but there not bad either (Like Truth_Be_Told11 suggests). However, there stuff is very expensive compared to other stores which have the same product (same brand name) in different places. I could and can list ten stores that you can go to that sell the product for half of what they are asking. Although it is in East Longmeadow.
Mammaknowsbest is right. The staff there are great! There friendly, but at the same Truth_Be_Told11 is right. When you walk in, the place does smell a little funky (But not as bad as he/she is making it out to be.)
I wouldn't give this place five stars nor would I give it none. I would have to give it two. Theres nothing special about the staff or store that deserves higher than a fair.

(To Truth_Be_Told11 if you ever look at these posts. I do agree with you on one thing for sure. The lady that I think you are talking about defiantly has some social problems. She looks angry and gives an apparence that she hates her job and the people that are around her. However, if you talk to her she does not blow you off as you suggested. I suppose if she smiled and learned to be more social, well I think she would be more appropriate.)

They have a fantastic range of food. The staff is extremely knowledgable about quality of dog and cat food. They were as friendly as can be.

I go there for my food all the time. I never go anwhere else as when I had to return something, they were WONDERFUL.

I have never had a problem, not once, with anyone there

I personally had the worst experience with this store. (For me just writing this proves how disappointed and how awful my experience was, as I never complain online. My motto usually implies that life's to short to get worked up about every little thing)

I decided to get an animal, something that would warm up my apartment and life a little. As I walked in to the store, the first thing that I noticed was the smell. It smelled like the animals urinated everywhere!

When I walked in to the "animal" section, I was in for a big surprise. The "supervisor" a lady with reddish/brownish hair ( a real bitch if you ask me ) had an attitude problem right from the start. Like just by me asking questions about the rodents and bunnies and birds bugged her. (It doesn't matter how stupid the question is, she shouldn't have been rude. Even more so, since I was asking what size of a cage I should get for the pet rabbit I wanted to buy and what brands of food would be best, bedding, and so on. )

I thought I should buy the cage, the water bottle and everything else so I could set it up before my furry friend came home.. needless to say I ended up walking with my money and nothing else.

I can't even explain how bad the service is.. all I can say is, is if your looking for kind and caring people DO NOT GO TO AW BROWN. All you will get there is a bitchy lady who apparently has other important stuff to do and staff members who know nothing about animal care. Half the people hired there should be fired on the account of they don't know squat.

Although good news for me, I ended up getting a pet at Dave's Pet Food City. (Although they are equally bad, there staff members are kinder and more understanding. And Unlike Aw Brown, are actually interested in the care of their animals)

I am shocked and appalled that Aw Brown would let there employs treat future costumers like that!

My suggestion, take your money elsewhere! Buy your new furry friend somewhere where you know people encourage you to take care of your pet. Hopefully, if everyone does that, Aw Brown will close and shut down for good!
