the worst customer service I have ever seen. I bought an indoor plant about 3 weeks ago and already is dead. I took it back the one is located on Rout 7, the manager Steve Thompson would not take the plant back or replace with another one he was rude I will every one not to shop from Blue mont nurseries any more. We should stick to home depot or Lowes they are the best, forget about supporting small businesses.

1. Premium prices, one would suppose due to their newly convenient location near a bunch of new houses, so their prices have gone up as they've gotten more houses around them. 2. You are herded through turnstiles, hounded by staff and forced to exit out the back of the building for a hundred yard walk back to your car, even when it's raining, even when your 3 yr old has wandered back into the store, you then get followed by a staff member who herds you back to the back and out rather than letting you walk the 30 feet from the front to your car. 3. 15% restocking fee, no return on annual. Come on, Home depot gives me a 200% better deal. If the quality is better here, why not the same kind of guarantee? 4. Treated like a criminal when you question, have any kind of dispute, return, etc. 5. Politically active. Regardless of your political affiliation, I don't think it's appropriate to post giant political advertisements in and around your establishment or wear buttons. Nor is it appropriate to nearly force customers to fill out petitions at checkout having to do with local zoning and other matters. You're really pushed to do these things here. You're a retail store, keep your opinions to yourself and just offer a quality product and helpful service. I got none of what I wanted from this place.

I visited Blue Mount Nursery several times over two summers and found the selections adequate, but the prices very high. The plants I purchased were healthy, though, and I was content to be a repeat customer until I misplaced a $50 gift certificate. When I called the nursery, expecting that they could trace it, they first told me that they weren't computerized and that they only kept a handwritten log of gift certificates. When I asked them to check by date of issue, or by the name of purchaser or recipient, they said they only kept a list of the number on each certificate, and NO RECORD of who purchased it or even whether it was ever redeemed. (That just doesn't make sense.) Despite being a repeat customer, they wouldn't even consider just believing my story and offering me the credit, even though I would have spent considerably more than $50. It was just - "Too bad." I was incredulous at their lack of customer service AND lack of efficiency (wouldn't you want your business to track how gift certificates were used, and how much above and beyond each gift amount was spent?). The final straw came when I asked for a point of contact above the store manager, named "Steve." Steve said 'the corporate guy' - Lee - came by every three months and picked up mail, and I'd have to write to the local store and he (Steve, the local manager) would hold the letter for Lee. Sure. According to Steve, there was no address, no phone number, no e-mail, no way for him or for me to contact anyone more senior. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

Average selection, premium prices. Be aware that there is a 15% restocking fee for all plant material returned for refund. We put a tree on hold and then decided against it the next day. Management insisted on charging a 15% restocking fee even though the tree never left the lot. We will use them only for small items for convenience. We will not buy any large ticket items or large quantity purchases because we feel that customer service is very low priority. This should not be the case when they are charging premium prices.
