Ditto to the above. I, too, have been buying plants from them for several years.

The plants are very reasonably priced. Also, they are grouped by light and soil requirements, which I find helpful. For example, if you need something for moist shade, you go to that section to see the selection of plants that grow in those conditions. Their catalog is organized the same way.

Several of the plants they sell are growing in small beds here and there around the nursery, so as you walk around you can see what a mature plant will look like (depending on the season, of course).

The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They can answer your questions and give recommendations if you are looking for a certain plant for a certain spot.

I have never mail-ordered anything from them, so cannot speak to that, but I highly recommend visiting.

I have purchased plants from this nursery since 1995. If you visit the nursery, they take time to answer questions or help you select plants. I have always gotten healthy stock from them. In the spring they visit Farmer Markets in St. Louis and KC area, if you phone an order in, they will bring to the market for pick up. They also have mail order - I haven't used so can't comment. However I highly recommend you make the trip to visit them at least once, often they have plants of limited stock that are set out that do not appear on their web site as available.
