This is a nursery for the conifer lover and connoisseur. The owner, Bob, is extremely knowledgable about the conifers he sells. All the stock are raised on site and acclimated to local conditions and soils, so my experience on transplant has gone very well. I've purchased over 35 trees from Bob and have had excellent success. None of the trees have died (except for one that I overwatered). Bob's selection includes several varieties of firs that are often hard to come by in the Boise area. This is the only place I could find that sold subalpine fir (other than seedlings). Although a bit out of the way for Boise folks, I think the value makes it worth the drive. My experience is that prices are much less than what other nurseries charge. Only negative is that selection may be limited during the summer and winter months. Go in late summer to select what you want dug (or late winter) for the next transplant season.
