I think of White Flower Farm as the provider of expensive plants for rich people. But after too much frustration with poor quality plants from lower priced suppliers, I occasionally buy a few plants from White Flower Farm. The plants are in good shape, of suitable size, have done well in my flower beds. I recently ordered a Baby Kim lilac, an Iris, and a few other things. All were in excellent condition. Sometimes it is worth paying more.

A beautiful nursery in scenic Litchfield county. Well worth the drive to roam the gardens. Especially worth seeing the tuberous begonia house when in bloom. The staff have always been knowledgeable and friendly. I go several times a year as I'm only 20 minutes away. They have some beautiful clay pots. White Flower Farm hosts several events during the year — the annual sale (don't miss this one), Tomatomania (the heirloom tomato event), their open house among others. Plan on taking the short drive to Litchfield's center for lunch.
