| kikisdad | On March 18, 2008, kikisdad from Spring Hill, FL wrote: There are a lot of "pine islands" around, it is a popular naming convention.This one was a somehat dingy end of the road sorta muddy beach when we first visited it some 20 years ago.It has been transformed by the Hernando County Parks dept into a beatiful white sand beach, boat launch and recreation area on the Gulf of Mexico.The view is fabulous , the sea breezes dependable and picnic area and rest rooms impeccably clean and hospitable. The only downside is that it has become so attractive that it is usually crowded. Sunsets viewed from here rival those more famous ones from Key West. |
