We were essentially accused of trying to scam them out of the deposit for the plastic pot our Christmas tree came in. They had said we'd get our 20 dollar deposit back for it when we returned it. We did so and were told that no receipt...no can do. That anyone could come in with a pot looking to get deposit money...this is wrong on many fronts. There are other places to go where you can be treated well, I'll see you at those nurseries.
I feel like a fool for shopping there. I just re-did my entire front yard and had three plants out of forty that failed to thrive. Those three came from Bark and Garden and I tried to return them. I had my receipt with the return policy attached, the original tags, and the original containers. First they said there was nothing wrong with the plants - but wouldn't take them back. Then they said I planted them wrong - so wouldn't take them back. Then they switched to nothing wrong again and handed my receipt back to me and exclaimed that the plants were all mine. To add insult to injury, I saw the exact same plants at another nursery for $6.99. I paid $24.99! I guess I learned an expensive lesson. Thank goodness I didn't buy all the plants for my yard makeover there.
