Our day apple picking was great. I was hesistant to go after reading the rewiews, but it was wonderful. We spent the day there with our three children and a grandparent. The two little ones were free so I thought $40 for 6 people picking apples wasn't bad.
My kids were so excited to go on a hayride, which was included with the picking. The tractor driver helped us on with the stroller. The staff was friendly and helpful, nothing like I read here. We went to the free petting zoo and I have amazing pictures of it all. There were additional things like the apple cannon- so cool- and small amusements for the kids. We ate lunch from the indoor grill and thought everything was really nice. We left with a pumpkin and doughnuts, and my mother left with half the farmers market.
It was 40 bucks well spent. And we are all eating apples like crazy. Can't wait until next year and I will know to buy bigger bags!

My family and I went driving to look for a "pick your own" orchard in McHenry Co. IL. We came across "ALL SEASONS" online, and I'm so sorry that I didn't check the reviews on this orchard first! I was SHOCKED to find they wanted to charge a $10.00 fee, PER PERSON, to pick apples. My 7 year old daughter wanted to pick apples. We were told that my husband and I would each have to be charged $10 because no one is allowed into the orchard without a bag to pick apples. This is CRAZY! What a COMPLETE RIP-OFF! DO NOT visit this orchard unless you are a celebrity and able to afford such nonsense. Drive a few miles further to Woodstock Country Orchard 17015 Garden Valley Rd. (815)923-4359 The people are kind and it is a much more laidback feeling rather than just a "business". Good Luck!

All Seasons is the most beautiful apple orchard I've ever been to. A huge selection of healthy ripe apples grown in a scenic and tranquil setting. The store has a variety of food products to choose from including extremely delicious apple donuts and taffy apples and honey. The ladies that waited on us were very nice. After reading the comments below I can only imagine that they unfortunately witnessed a bad day for the management and staff. This is a place my family and I will visit again & again.

I recently went to All Seasons Farm in Woodstock, IL and did not have a good experience. We were looking for a fun, family-friendly experience and we specifically wanted to pick honey crisp apples. When we arrived we were told that there was a $10 fee per person which seemed a little steep, although it did include a 1/2 peck of apples. We made our way over to the tractor to go to the orchard. I asked someone who worked there when the tractor left and I was curtly pointed to a sign with a poster of times. The owners/managers seemed very unfriendly. We had to wait 20 minutes for a tractor to take us out. While we waited, we overheard the manager/owner criticizing one of the staff which was awkward and unpleasant. We took the tractor out to the fields and then the person told us that we couldn't pick honeycrisps until the "boss lady" comes out and takes down the tape. At this point, I was pretty unhappy. I called twice to confirm that honeycrisps were available. I asked when I bought the apple bags and it was posted at the orchard. The person on the tractor confirmed that they were fully available. Then, when we arrive, we are told, no?? After 30 minutes or so, they finally took the tape down. In the end, we left with the bags of apples we came for, but the orchard left a bad impression. There was an overall vibe that the employees were unhappy, the managers/owners weren't friendly, and it seemed very obvious that the operation was just out to nickel/dime everyone to make money. In talking with some of the other guests on the tractor ride, it seems that I was not the only one who wasn't that satisfied. I am very aware that apple picking is a commercial operation and I have no issue paying for a fun experience. However, I was very disappointed and will not be returning. I wish that the orchard would put a little more effort into customer service and fostering a positive environment. I will definitely not be back.

We took the family out for a fun afternoon's picking - Much to our surprise and disappointment, they wanted $10 per person, even for the kids, and you had to pay for each person or they wouldn't even let them out into the orchard. We had no intention of paying $40 for apples, so it was a wasted trip.

It's sad to see someone take a fun country tradition and try to turn it into a money-making machine. If the number of people leaving with no apples like us was any indication, it isn't working...So maybe there's some justice left in the world.

Steer clear!
