Mr. Youth does make a valiant effort to offer a few proposals to fight the plague of squirrels raging in many suburban gardens--baffels, barbed wire, and chemicals, for example--, but mainly he provides a short few paragraphs on the most common squirrels in North America, some good photos of each specimen, and a range map for each.
A Bird Watcher's Digest publication, this booklet provides the basics on yard squirrels, but the gardener might do better just googling for squirrel ID and deterrence information and save $5.
