I trust this book more than any single veggie gardening book I've ever read and more than any internet source.

I must read this book at least once a week. Not the whole thing of course, but a piece here and a piece there. I've learned so much from this book, and continue to do so, a must have for any gardner at any skill level.

This book has lots of great information in it.

It starts out with building the vegetable garden bed, goes on to talk about building the soil, insect control, and finally gives a very good overview of almost all of the vegetables.

There's a section for many types of vegetables and for each vegetable type, soil preparation, soil pH, sowing, growing, and harvesting are discussed.

I've been vegetable gardening for years, but I have learned a lot from this book. It's a keeper in my library.

This book is a must have for any vegetable gardener whether beginner or experienced. It is always with me when I am gardening and loves the outdoors. With Ed's help I have transformed my little bit of prairie patch into a beautiful, fertile, productive garden. Still awaiting the worms though!

My spouse just asked me if I've memorized this book yet. Almost! It's my best resource, hands-down. In one year, with the help of Mr. Smith, I've turned a 500 square foot patch of airless wet clay into a nutrient- rich, worm-filled veggie paradise.

I LOVE this book. My sister and I call it our bible. She read mine and went right out and bought her own. It's easy to read, has the info you need about companion planting, pests, rotating crops, everything. I take it right outside with me as a reference. Ed rocks!

This is a great book. I love to read it over and over again. In places, it is a bit dirty, which for me is true proof of its worth. The photographs are beautiful, and the text is easy to read, without being patronizing.
