They bloomed profusely nearly year round in very sandy soil, no fertilizer, no dead-heading, and no pruning. She had at least 6-8 different colors and over a dozen plants. In those days, they were never purchased from a nursery but grown from cuttings taken from friends' plants. They are extremely easy to start from cuttings by rooting in water.
