Not does it soften up as the black skinned varieties do. (for me that is a definite MINUS)
I guess there are some applications in cooking where a STONE-HARD avocado would be desired ... and that is all this type of avocado is food for. It is not as buttery and flavorful as
smaller avocados either.
If you want my opinion here it is: If you are shopping for an avocado and you see the Lulas and you see smaller ripe black ones, go with the black ones! I ADORE avocados and eat them on a regular basis, but I would rather do without than waste good money and Size DOES matter and with Lula to be bigger is BADDER !!! anticipation on a Lula !!!!
