Fireweed, Narrow Leaved Fireweed, Great Willow Herb, Rosebay Willow Herb, Blooming Sally

I saw after about a month that this was a huge mistake. Each had sent runners for yards in all directions. I laboriously dug up the very deep and extensive root system, but this spring a bunch more plants appeared. I dug up each one and found it was growing from a fragment of the old root system.
Pretty wildflower, but should only be planted in a confined area. I have a small strip confined between concrete and planted one of the plants there, where it should be controlled (as long as I dont forget to deadhead it).
