The wide, glossy green leaves are topped in late April and May with 20" spikes ending in star-shaped, red flowers with a white star central pattern.
Mine was rescued from a construction site in Pensacola, FL but has adapted well to Raleigh, NC. Very easy to grow and multiplies nicely.
