It is t...Read Morehe most beautiful vine I've seen in our area and I wanted to get 10 of them to place on our back fenceline. Then she warned me that (1) it is NOT a perrenial in our area...so I'd have to buy new each year, and (2) it is NOT deer resistant ... which is why she keeps them on her raised porch.
. If I ever get all my garden spots (perennial) completely established and a 7 foot fence placed around them for deer protection, THEN I will pick up a couple of these every year just for the fun of it, but right now my finances must be spread over each years new garden spot construction and yearly maintenance of all the yard.
. That said, it is a BEAUTIFUL flower the size and shape of my hibiscus's when we were in Hawaii. Definitely a grand addition to your garden if you have the finances for it (and a deer-proof area).

It has bloomed wildly, fabulously this entire summer and fall here in Central Texas. It was never bare of gorgeous, pink, tea-cup sized blooms. It's the best plant I have ever bought on a whim in my life. It's a vine that curls and twines up, up, up. It's a blooming fool. The exact name was Sun Parasol Pink Mandevilla. It has been disease free for me; a marvelous plant.
