  A note from tabasco:
"Lately my gardening interest has focused on wildflowers and gardening for butterflies and birds. We have had some success creating a garden area of nectar flowers and host plants for the butterflies common to our region. We have gardened here for four years now since our move from Los Angeles CA.

Our one acre shaded lot next to a large county park forest is a natural habitat for birds and we have added additional woody perennials, shrubs and trees to make it even more so. I would like to create a water feature in the next year to add to the habitat...

I also love spring bulbs and we plant about a thousand every autumn. And I have a nice collection of Siberian iris and other irises which are just now old enough to really bloom well next May.

I live here in this Cincinnati suburb with my DH and our college age children. They don't help with the gardening, but they do share my interest in the wildlife. So it's been a lot of fun creating a garden and being a member of DG. I have learned so much from Dave's Garden friends and love to spend time in the garden."
