| "My garden is now 25 yrs.old, around a 1900ish arts&crafts house,which I use as a guideline for designing a sort-of period landscape. I am a retired horticulturist/urbanforestry activist. My garden is packed with ornamentals (no vegs) so every inch of soil grows layers of plants. Lately I am learning how to plant host plants for caterpillars,butterflies & birds; and share this with children. I have less than 1/4 acre in a 100yr.+ small commuter rail suburb of Philadelphia. I am a plant addict. I try to make a small spot of beauty on my busy corner for all who walk/drive by to enjoy and find respite. Happy gardening to all!" |
