" Hiya! My zone is 5a in the NW corner of Illinois. My policy is come over and trade in person. That's more fun and cheaper! $14.65 is just too much postal expense to trade thru the mail anymore. For those of you who don't know your geography, Chicago is 3 hrs away. Yes, someone did drive out that far to trade, but not sure if that's what you want to do. While we are trading you can have a tour if you like.
Here's a few tips for you:
If you don't have anything to trade try your local freecycle.org I don't respond to requests for freebies.
If you want to try cheap stuff that grows where you live try your local craigslist, master gardener plant sales,and farmers markets.
You can see what I have at the above photo link. I trialed a membership here but am now a non-paying member which means I can't view 80% of the communities including the swap forum, and threads I started back way back when i was a member. You can always Dmail me if you want. I can respond that way.
I have a full list of all my plants but it's now 5 pages long and not listed here. You can ask to have it emialed if you are comfortable with botanical names.
You can also find me at gardenweb.com, member name cheerpeople. If you go there my member page lists almost 40 people I've traded plants with. You can use that as my reference list of trading. The Gardenweb page mentioned above won't load at this site. You will need to cut and paste it to your browser. Please LMK if that doesn't work for you. It worked for me-
