| "I live with my husband, Scott, our dog Annie and two cats, Gizmo and Double Stuff in the Land of Cows, Colleges and Contentment. I don't mind that squirrels belly up to my bird feeders or that the mailman sometimes mis-delivers my mail. I wonder what my hair color would be if I stopped coloring it and if my hot flashes might someday burn out my retinas. I've discovered that since I've changed my attitude towards weeds, gardening is much more enjoyable. I pee more than I used to. I've stopped feeling guilty about eating french fries from McD's. I have so many dust bunnies in my house that I've switched from my Miele to a shop vac. And I don't care. I clip coupons to save money but forget where I put them. My mind is always 30 years ahead of me or two years behind. Or is it the other way around? I can't remember...memory is a bit faulty, too. What I do know is that it is rarely ever in the present where it should be. Me? I'm guessing I'm pretty normal for a girl my age." |
