| "After moving to Washington state, I started doing a lot of hiking. On a hike up to Lake Serene I came across what I now know was a 5-fingered Maidenhair fern, but I didn't know that at the time. I became so facinated with it I started searching the internet to figure out what it was. And that was the start of my new-found hobby, gardening. I'm mostly into growing and propagating ferns, but I also enjoy bonsai and native plants and trees of the pacific-northwest, and things that go nicely with them, like cyclemen." |
