| "I come by my gardening passion honestly, my Mom and both Grandmas filled their yards with beautiful flowers and trees, and I do the same. I finally took the plunge in 2002 and became a Master Gardener. My favorite perennial flowers living in my yard are my peony and my Mr. Lincoln rose. My favorite annual grown each year is State Fair Zinnia. I have had the good fortune to travel extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Australia (want to know how fortunate we are living in the US, travel outside it!). Besides gardening, I love to golf, knit, cook, increase my knowledge through reading and education, and recently got into Geocaching. My next goal is to run a 1/2 marathon and continue to train and eventually compete in the Senior Olympics (which is closer in years than I care to admit!)." |
