  A note from Kameha:
"I love gardening in general. I was born in Pennsylvania and always grew up learning from my father how to vegetable garden...primarily tomatoes. We also grew apple and cherry trees. Around 3 years ago I moved to central florida and tried to grow a vegetable garden in early summer...big mistake! Nothing made it through the heat and humidity. So I researched online what to grow in Florida and how to grow it. About 2 years ago I got introduced into growing tropical fruits...and about a year ago even joined a club for it. I have had much success in growing them in our balmy subtropical climate. However I have had some setbacks due to getting landbasted by the 3 hurricanes this season.

My main gardening hobby has been to create a mainly edible landscape...particularly with tropical fruit trees/vines/plants. However recently I have gained an interest in growing beautiful tropical/subtropical flowering trees such as orchid trees and dwarf poinciana. I particularly am interested in growing the more cold hardy varieties here like I already am such as: butterfly cassia and jacaranda. I also would like to grow more subtropical Florida native plants/trees.

My fruit trees include: Mango (Glenn?), Carambola (Fwang tung), Grapefruit (Ruby Red), Navel Orange (Flame Red), Meyer's Lemon, Papaya, Bananas (Musa Zebrina, two edible varities), Carissa (natal plum), Cattley Guava (Psidium cattleianum), Fig (Celeste), Key Lime, Loquat, Monstera Deliciosa, Tangerine (Sunburst), Giant Granadilla Passionfruit, Purple Passionfruit, Suriname Cherry, Pitaya, Miracle Fruit, Jaboticaba, Rose Apple, Florida Avocado (Persea americana), Peach (Tropic Snow), Blackberry (Melbourne), and Pineapple. I also have a few other fruit seedlings including jaboticaba. "
