"I'm a first-time homeowner and have always loved growing things, especially flowers. I've always had to content myself with container gardening, but now I have a big yard of my own. I'm a novice in many ways, but ready to learn. I am gardening for color, attracting birds and for just the pure enjoyment. There is nothing better after a stressful workday. After spending a lot of time working outside, there is nothing better than sitting out on the front porch swing with a glass of iced tea and enjoying the results of my labors and watching the many colorful birds at the birdfeeders I provide.
