The 'potatoes' on the vine
by Floridian Nov 12, 2002 6:15 PM
There is about 7 or 8 fruit hanging on this air potato vine but the smallest are hard to find unless you know where they are. They get much bigger, some as big as soft balls. I have grown this vine in full sun but it does better in shade.

Pictures cannot show the absolute beauty of this vine, while extremely invasive (and i'm not exaggerating a bit there), the massive, broad, almost metallic like leaves are just amazing to look at.

More Air Potato Vine choking out another big invasive, Giant Reed (Arundo donax). Its a gorgeous vine and its new leaves are a metallic bronze, very, very beautiful.
