They are not bothered by living in a very small place. I took the plant out when it was starting to look ratty after 3 months.

This is the millet growing in a container with marigolds. It has not yet sent up a seed stalk.
It is recommended to be grown in a group of three or more for more ornamental purposes.

Four week old seedlings in four inch pot and no need to thin to one seedling/pot (I'll plant out as is). Does not begin to develop darker coloration until plants get larger.

Black Millet performed very well for me this past year. I recommend it for attracting birds to your garden.
