The plants can climb by tendrils but generally forms a loose mound upon itself. Too coarse for the garden and may require salt to keep it happy (it does generally grow within the coastal spray zone). Typical of many coastal plants, the leaves the leathery to rubbery and a lovely blue-green colour.
