Trailing, it has the bold color appeal of a groundcover of 'Wide Brim' Hostas, with barely toothed leaves. Stems are a ruddy reddish to brown. Cold winter temperatures, perhaps 15 degrees and below, will damage the cream part of the leaf, which lacks the necessasry chemicals to remain, while the green part is undamaged. A loose mulching will help reduce this and protect the leaves from winter sun, and the plant will survive fine enough to regrow new leaves the following spring.
