I found this rose ...Read Moreat the Russian River rose company, and I was intrigued because it covered the roof of one of their buildings. I wanted something that would climb like crazy, I’ve only had it in the soil for a year and a half and it’s already gone 10 feet. The blooms are just beautiful and fragrant and it’s quite the showing when you see it from the street as it’s covering my fence. I look forward to it getting longer and more blooms in the next year. I am in northern calif on the bay zone 9.

This will bloom at the expense of new growth. When the plant is small, it's important to keep the flower buds cut off, to allow the plant to get larger.
Flowers are self-cleaning, shedding old petals cleanly.
