The leaf patterns are more distinct in cool weather. I will spill over pot or wall edges and/or weave itself up through the branches of taller shrubs. At the beginning of the growing season, cut the branches back to create a more full appearance. Immediately replant the cuttings in moist soil.

In hot weather the variegated foliage pattern is lost, apparently through virus suppression by heat. Fortunately, the variegation returns when temperatures are more moderate.
