In 3 days, they were all forming nodules; in under 10 days, one of the woodier ones had a 1.5" root already!
I would love to try seeds with these guys, but any time a gust of wind blows through them, all the spent blooms get removed, so no seed collecting at my house!
I bought two of these in April '09; both were only about 6" tall and have already tripled in size. Though they do get a little droopy if it's been dry a few days, they perk back up as soon as they have water (mine are in Florida sugar sand). They don't bloom prolifically for me yet, but I'm happy about that since I want them to focus on root development right now. I have them specifically for my hummingbird and butterfly garden.
