It is easily grown from seed and grows into a larger multi-stemmed plant in cultivation and can be an attractive addition to a rockery. We have grown several for display in a local park and I have established one in my garden, where I am hoping for flowers this summer. The plant develops a number of juicy tubers and these were a favourite food of the Ganai people, the original inhabitants of this region. The tubers were eaten either raw or roasted.
