The fragrant bright lemon-yellow blooms open in the afternoon and fade to ivory-yellow overnight. Small's rain lily is the only rain lily of this color known in this genus. The plants bloom from mid-summer through autumn. It would be a great addition to the cultivated garden and would be useful in beds, lawns, rock gardens, xeriscapes and containers.
