Loves well drained, fertile soil in full sun. Dislikes winter wet and isn't fully hardy.
Once the flowers are over they appreciate a light trim to keep them neat. Prune about one inch off the height to keep the shape. Don't prune back hard especially into old wood.
Very prone to rot in humid climates; best in dry ones.
