The blooms, when they come, are quite long-lasting, attractive, and very fragrant.
I have not culled this defective rosebush because over last winter, when half of my roses died even though they were buried in ground, this one survived. Then late last summer it finally started to grow a little. So I rated it as neutral. If it survives the current horrible winter (2013-14), I will see if it will grow this coming summer. If it survives and grows, I will change its rating to positive. If it doesn't, I will change its rating to negative.
UPDATE: I simply could not make this rose grow. So I have given up on it and changed its rating to negative. A beautiful flower, but I cannot make it grow. Maybe it is just the individual plant that I had; but it did not grow for me, never exceeding 10 or 12 inches tall.
