Winter does get us down to the mid-30s and 40's for a few hours on occassional nights. I planted these in full sun, pool-side. They thrived and bloomed their first summer and fall just like all my other Agapanthus varieties. Then their follage dwindled back to just a sparing few leaves for all of the winter months in spite of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Now, the one that I didn't yank out of the ground is back and beautiful!
Does this variety normally go dormant even in Southern California?
Can they acclimate and stay follaged all year once they get rooted in, albeit the next season?
Any and all advice, pleeeze. I love the elegant color and follage of this variety!
