Strigiformes
Great Horned Owl
The order of Strigiformes includes owls of all types. There are over 200 species of owls worldwide, found on every continent except Antarctica. Owls cannot move their eyes, but they can swivel their heads in search of prey. All owls have special wing feathers to help them glide silently through the night as they hunt small mice, birds and reptiles for their food.
