King Penguin
The order Sphenisciformes encompasses all penguins. Penguins are flightless birds generally living in the cold waters of the Antarctic. However, some species will swim as far north as the equator to breed and nest. Penguins? wings have evolved into flippers, the better for swimming and diving. The largest penguin is the Emperor Penguin standing at 3 ft 7 inches (1.1 meters) and the smallest is the little Blue or Fairy Penguin standing at just 16 inches tall (40 centimeters.)
