My new pond area. Pond was dug by hand )o; I finished installation late May.
Planted with dwarf cannas, butterfly, and hummingbird plants. Species cannas and sunflowers (self-sown) behind. This is a newly planted nature, hummingbird, butterfly area at my farm. Large flowering canna run the bank where my 1890's greenhouse is sill in reconstuction. But nearing finish. Pond spawned 3 generations of frogs immediately. And lots of butterflies, birds, and hummers (o: A peaceful serene place for me to enjoy sunrises over the Alleghenies and sunsets in the valley below. |
