| Allium Species Allium (Im not after the the ones its said and which is appearing in the photo). I think what Im after is known as "Garlic Chives" but Im after the purple flowered ones. I had these growing at my last place and I used to use them a lot in my cooking.They were larger plants then my chives (my chives used to be about 20cm tall and dainty but these others were about 30cms tall, taller if one included flowers and stalks. (They were more hardy then my chives and I hardly ever needed to water them.. only in summer heat waves). They did smell and taste like mild garlic and not like chives so I dont think was a variety of chives as such thou I think they may be called that in their name (maybe due to small size? of whatever they are).
