| Couroupita Species Couroupita guianensis I am researching in the Chemical Engineering department at Kettering University in Michigan. We are currently working on a project that involves supercritical fluid extraction of various compounds from plants that may have pharmaceutical properties. It has been shown that different parts of the cannonball tree have significant medicinal benefits, and we would very much like to look into the chemicals in the leaves and tree bark that may be able to cure colds, stomach aches, or malaria.
