Justicia californica Attention Please Arizona & California hummingbird fans.
I have suffered a tragedy and need your help.
Two years ago, while hiking through an Arizona canyon, I gathered several seed pods from a Chuparosa plant. The seeds were taken home and planted in my hummingbird garden. Two seeds germinated and grew into healthy plants. My hummingbirds went nuts over those red flowers. This past October, I noticed deer tracks in the garden and found that my prized Chuparosa plants had been rooted up. Hummingbirds are now beginning their migration and they are really going to be upset, if they find no Chuparosa plants to spoil them.
If you have a blooming Chuparosa plant in your yard or know of one in your area, would you mind picking off a few seed pods, letting them dry out and sending them to me? Or if you have several cuttings started, that would be even better. I have a few tiny Lobilia cardinalis seeds to trade and have started Bouvardia
Thank you in advance for your courtesy.
