Iris
Naturally occurring hybrid of native iris species. Various colors, not sure which you would get unless it is currently flowering (not the best time for shipping, though). Soils can vary from average/moist to wet/pond marginal. Has tolerated coastal fooding. See http://www.louisianas.org/publications/Summer2007a.pdf

Solidago Species
Solidago altissima

Have plenty of rosettes in the winter/spring. I think it is S. altissima; it could be S. canadensis. Mine blooms very late in the season and is a brilliant yellow. Soils can be dryish to somewhat wet. It does spread very easily by rizomes, so it is not for a small formal garden. But makes for a fabulous display in a larger garden or meadow! Would likely be contained by a buried large nursery pot if desired. (Note - goldenrods do NOT cause hay fever. They just bloom at the same time as the plant that does (ragweed), which is not a very noticable plant, so people blame the goldenrod.
